Bib Tights / Tights.
Like shorts, tights and/or bib-tights are an integral part of making cycling comfortable and therefore enjoyable, as if you are not sat comfortably on the bike you simply wont enjoy it and as a result you will stop doing it.
Obviously people can cycle in any clothing, but in order to feel comfortable on the bike, it is worth getting some decent cycle clothing that is tailor made for the job. Other than your shorts, there is no more important cycle garmet to use than a pair of well fitting pair of tights and/or bib-tights. The reason being, your bum is one of your three contact points with the bike so not too get sore we recommend a specific cycling pant.
Like cycling shorts bib-tights/tights are made from a tecnical fabric which again help wick any moisture away. This is important as it helps to avoid irritation. However unlike cycling shorts which have a insert in, bib-tight/tights come with an optional insert (pad) to allow people to use their own cycling shorts underneath.
Cycling bottoms come in various styles, for the race/training cyclist there are the tight fitting Lycra ones, There is also a "Baggier" fitting style (ofeten referred to as Tracksters) which are typically used my people who want to tour or dont want the tight fitting lycra ones.
Bib-Tights or tights, whats the difference?
Bib-tights are basicaly a tight with a set of braces on the top for added comfort. These are extremely comfortable to use as they brace (bib) takes away any pressure from the stomarch area, while holding the pad in the correct place. A real must for any cyclist doing regular cycling or longer distance cycling.
